The study of Spanish offers an opportunity to experience a rich culture and a beautiful language that shares many similarities with English. In general, learning a second language enhances the learning of one’s own, and promotes understanding and respect of other cultures, making pupils aware of their place in a global community. The learning of Spanish at Edgecliff comes from a holistic approach to all language macro skills and uses the communicative approach in speaking interactions. Spanish is taught in a dedicated language room to all boys from Kindergarten to Year Six.
