Sport at Edgecliff

Sport is a valued and highly visible part of life at Edgecliff.

From the early years, boys build fundamental movement and sporting skills through a broad Physical Education programme led by specialist teachers. As they progress through the School, they have the opportunity to represent Edgecliff in a wide range of inter-school competitions, developing both their skills and their understanding of sportsmanship, discipline and teamwork.

Our sporting programme places equal emphasis on participation, enjoyment and achievement, encouraging every boy to challenge himself while contributing positively to a team. Boys compete in a variety of team and individual sports, including athletics, basketball, cricket, cross country, fencing, football, rugby, swimming and tennis.

With direct access to the Weigall Sports Ground, boys benefit from outstanding facilities and opportunities to develop their skills, fitness and enjoyment of sport. Our popular Fitness Club also provides additional opportunities for boys to be active before school each day.
